Far away, a star twinkles. Here, a wasteland. How much easier it would be to live amongst the constellations, to be something... else. Anything else.
They were never here, were they?
Look at me, Blur.
Glancing in the mirror, gazing into the sky and watching a million fragments of light. One of them is you. Falling, falling.
Still haven't found them yet?
What a shame.
there's a stillness in the air
stifling, hot, stickY

bleeding out just to know you're alive
crimson red? or cadmium orange?
you stare, transfixed
mesmerized by the Hue of your own blood
hoping It doesn't confirm what you're afraid of.Â
there's a space ship in the sky
VeeriNg off into the clouds
into space, whiZzing away past the eye can see.
and you wish you weRe on it, that space ship.
past Mercury, jupiter, even pluto.

anywhere but earth.
you wish you were in the sky

lonely
on this pale, blue Dot.
Why are you so persistent? Why would you want to find them? To know if they're okay?
They were the alien.
They were inhuman.
Haven't I made that clear enough?
I told you, they're gone. Do you expect me to believe that you've found evidence otherwise?Â
Please.
